The Baby rocks found themselves on the losing end of a 6-4 score to the Delta Islanders Saturday, putting both teams at 1-1 in the Provincials taking place in Delta.
Coquitlam leads the tournament with a 2-0 record and will provide the opposition for the Shamrocks Sunday in the final game of the round robin portion of the tournament. Port Coquitlam sits at 0-2 and will face Delta Sunday.
Head to head the Shamrocks have played the Adanacs pretty close all season and handed them their first loss back on May 16, a 4-3 triumph. The two losses were by scores of 6-4 and 7-4. Game time today is 4:30 pm
Coquitlam’s leading scorer in the regular season was Eddy Patron with 27 goals and 33 assists for 60 points, followed by Cody Craven with 55 points. Frankie Scigliano was third among goaltenders with a 6.25 goals-against-average and an 87.24 save percentage in 1078 minutes played.
In Intermediate B action, Juan de Fuca defeated Richmond, 11-7 Saturday and will face off against New Westminster today at 11:30 am.
